What is Dip 'n Dab?

Dip 'n Dab is an art studio in Atlanta that is dedicated to helping you create your masterpiece - even if you don't know how! Our qualified instructors walk you through your painting of choice step by step on a 16x20" stretched canvas. Enjoy painting with friends at our studio and create your masterpiece!

What is the best method to get in touch with us?

The best method of communication for us is email. Please address all your questions to info@dipndab.com. Someone will respond to your question within 24 hours or on the next business day, if you email on a weekend. While we do check our voicemail regularly, we often end up playing phone tag with you a few times before the question is answered, and often times it's too late.
So email us any question you might have at info@dipndab.com and we look forward to seeing you in the studio!

Do I need to sign up in advance for a class?

It is highly recommended that you register in advance as many classes fill up quickly. You can do so by viewing our calendar and registering for the paintings you would like to create. The cutoff time for registration is 4 hours prior to class time. We do accept walk-ins but only if the class is not full.

How do I register for a class?

To register for one of our classes, simply go to our "Calendar". Click the "Register" button below the painting you wish to attend and follow the prompts. If you have a voucher, click on "Reserve by Voucher" below the painting you wish to attend. Enter in your voucher code and click "Validate." It will walk you though step by step, enter in all the fields and a credit card may be required for reservation. We do not charge the card for reservations, it simply holds the seat. When complete, you will be provided a Reservation Confirmation #, please write this down for your records.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must cancel your class at least 24 hour prior to your class for reinstatement of your Voucher and no incurred fees. Cancellations not made at all or made within 24 hours of the scheduled class will be charged for that class.

How do I cancel my reservation?

Follow the link "Cancel My Existing Class" on the calendar page. You will be able to cancel your registration by submitting your Reservation number (if you don't have the Reservation #, please email us at info@dipndab.com). We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, that must be adhered to prior to your class. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled class will result in a charge for the full amount of the class to your credit card and forfeiture of your voucher (if applicable). Be sure to click on the Confirmation of cancellation link that is emailed to you to ensure your cancellation.

How do I reschedule my existing class?

In order to reschedule your existing class, you will need to click on "Cancel my Reservation" more than 24 hours prior to your scheduled class. Then you will need to click on the correct painting and date of your choice and click on "Register" or "Reserve by Voucher" and you will be asked to re-enter your information. You will be asked to enter a credit card, it does not charge the card, it only reserves your seat. Each reservation must be made separately.

How do I use my Coupon code?

Coupon Codes can be redeemed on our Calendar page by clicking on the Register button under the painting class of your choice. Enter the Coupon Code in the Coupon field and click Validate. Enter in the required fields for reservation completion to receive the discounted rate. Credit Card reservations may be required. The Dip 'n Dab Cancellation policy still remains for all discounted classes. Coupons are not valid for walk-in classes, Reservation only.

If I have a Voucher that is expiring this month, can I register for classes after the expiration date?

The date of expiration marks the last day you are able to register for a class and use the voucher. As a courtesy to our remaining voucher holders, we allow our participants to receive a discount for the amount paid for their unused voucher after the date of expiration - which is the cash value paid for the Voucher. In order to Reserve with an expired Voucher, you must Register with a Credit Card and write the expired Voucher Code in the Comments Section. We will check and redeem the Voucher in studio, so be sure to bring it in phone/printout version to class.

Can I use a 2 Hour Voucher for a 3 Hour Class?

Yes! You may use a 2 Hour Voucher that you have purchased for a 3 Hour class. You will have a small balance that you will pay in the studio the day of your scheduled class.

What is the cost of a Dip 'n Dab class?

Our classes range in price from $30-$40 for a 2-hour and 3-hour painting, respectively. Be sure to bring your Voucher in either phone/printout version to class.

What is included in the price?

We will provide you with a 16x20 stretched canvas, paint, brushes, drinking cup, apron, step-by-step instruction, and FUN. You provide the drinks, the snacks, and the smiles.

When does the new schedule come out?

The schedule for the following month will come out on the 20th of every month.

I missed a painting that I really want to paint! How often will you repeat paintings?

We repeat paintings based on popular demand. Please join our email mailing list to receive the calendar every month. If you would like to request a painting, please send us a message on our Contact Us page.

What will I experience at a Dip 'n Dab class?

After a hard days work, get ready to relax and have a great time! Kick back with friends while we will teach you how to paint a masterpiece with step-by-step instruction from our trained instructors without the "learning" environment. Our painting method is designed to teach EVERYONE including those of you who have never painted before.

Do I need to have any art experience?

Absolutely not!! The less art experience you have, the more fun you'll have. As famous artist Edgar Degas once said, "Painting is easy when you don't know how."

What do I wear?

We suggest you wear something comfortable that you wouldn't mind getting messy. We also have messy shirts available for $15-$18. And of course, we have Art Smocks as well for you to wear over your clothes.

What time do I need to arrive for a class?

Doors open 30-45 minutes before the scheduled class time. Please arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your scheduled class. This will provide enough time for you to check in, get your paint, and find a seat that is comfortable to you.

What is your policy on arriving late?

In order to ensure that the class runs smoothly, we are unable to seat anyone arriving more than 30 minutes late. We will accept late arrivals up to 30 minutes after the class start time. Please note that empty seats are given to walk-ins at the scheduled class start time. If we are unable to seat your party due to a full class, you may reschedule for another date. No refunds will be given.

Can I sit with my friends?

If you are with a party of 8 or more, include a note in the comments section of the registration page to request seating arrangements. All other seats are first come/first serve. Please have at least one person in your party arrive 30 minutes prior to class time to save seats for your group.

Are there any age restrictions to attend a class?

Parents: Dip 'n Dab is a recreational venue which primarily caters to adults. There are, however, certain instances where mature teens and children can attend. The guide below illustrates the restrictions for our regularly scheduled classes.

Monday through Thursday: Classes are restricted to mature teens and adults. During our check-in process, our instructors reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone under the age of 18 at their discretion.

Friday and Saturday: Classes are restricted to ages 18 and up.

Sunday: Sunday is Family Day. Children ages 7 and up are allowed.

Please consider our Kids' Series or Kids' Parties for children ages 5 and up.

Food & Beverage

Am I allowed to bring food?

Yes! You may bring food to enjoy while you paint. There are several restaurants nearby, including Loca Luna and Breadgarden.

Can I bring in glass bottles?

Due to the risk of injury, Dip 'n Dab maintains a NO glass bottle policy in our studio. We invite you to bring in your beverages, but require that you repackage them in a container that will not pose a risk to the participants in the class.

What should we do if we won't have time to pick up food before the class?

Contact our neighbors at Loca Luna or Amsterdam Cafe for some food right here at Amsterdam Walk. Breadgarden would love to cater for you as well, they close at 6 PM. Please be sure to arrive 30 minutes prior to class to give yourselves enough time to pick up your food and set up for the class.
